GM’s Summary:
While avoiding the watch, now actively looking for the party, everyone converges on the docks and checks warehouse 17 first, killing the harmless, unarmed, lonely, old guard and his two watch dogs there. Hiding inside warehouse 13, they interrupt a Chaos ritual being held by the inner circle of the Ordo Septenarius. Once this appears to be done, they surrender themselves to the town watch and recently arrived road wardens, and are charged with Chaos worship, murder, arson and several other crimes. Some of these are ultimately dropped as the defence provides some convincing evidence, but others, including the murder charge from Altdorf remain. The captain of the watch agrees to slip them onto the Maria and out of town.

GM’s Summary:
Councillor Friedrich Magirius visits the Maria to confide in the party that Teugen has declared their ritual will require a human sacrifice, which Magirius finds unacceptable. He provides a letter to Teugen as evidence. He tells them he’ll let them know the details of the ritual once he’s received them. Later, a servant delivers a note summoning the party to Magirius House, but only Alric enters. There, he finds Magirius dead, having written ‘WHSE13’ or ‘WHSE17’ in his own blood on the floor. It quickly becomes apparent that this was an attempt to frame the party, and the house is soon crawling with watchmen and guards. Alric manages to escape undetected.

GM’s Summary:
When they happen to snatch up a note dropped by Steinhäger, the party learn of an upcoming cult meeting, which they assume will be that night. The party attempts to enter Teugen Manor with forged documents claiming they’re members of the Ordo Septenarius and the medallion stolen from Steinhäger. They were blankly refused, then accosted by members of the Stevedores’ Guild. A chance conversation with Councillor Friedrich Magirius let them know that the Ordo was supposedly just a commercial society, aimed at improving the town, and that the meeting they thought was happening at Teugen’s that night was really on the next night. The next night, Grombil was able to sneak into Teugen’s garden and climb up his house, sighting 9 wealthy men who appeared to make up the inner circle.

GM’s Summary:
Exploring the sewers further and realising that they couldn’t easily break into the door behind the now-cleared shrine, the party split in two. Alric and Adelyn tried to rob the dwarven engineer’s stall at the fair, ultimately killing him in his bed and blowing up his whole wagon to “hide” the evidence. Grombil and Gulmagg calculated that the sewer shrine was below the offices of the Steinhäger family, and broke in there, finding the upper entrance to the shrine, several cult-related documents, Steinhäger’s Ordo Septenarius medallion and two chests of gold, all of which they took.

GM’s Summary:
When a three-legged goblin escapes from the freak show into the town sewers, the party is hired to find it again. Down the sewers, they first find a door which they ignore. Next, they find the corpse of Gottri Gurnison, then another door that appears to have goblin blood on it. Inside, they find a shrine that includes a strange goat-head symbol in an eight-pointed triangle, a locked chest containing a silver dagger and a skull with an iron band bolted around its temples. This is all guarded by some sort of demonic hound. The party kills the daemon, ruins the shrine and leaves. Returning to enter the first door, they’re accosted and knocked out, waking up to be interrogated by the Thieves’ Guild.

As told by Alric Konrad:
Well after much travelling and a minor spat or two with some Orcs and a small altercation in witch Imol died (he was a brave elf, if there is such a thing, his sanitary habits were more a bad habit than good but he did have some redeeming features … a pet bear and tendency to stand in the way of incoming arrows he will be missed ,mostly because he is no longer around to stand in the way of arrows) we arrived at the town of Bögenhafen. We went our separate ways, Adelyn Zumwald: went off on her own and the dwarf (grumpy) went with me to find my inheritance , after some searching we discovered much to my shock and disappoint that the whole inheritance thing (good by retirement :.<) was a scam I SHAL MAKE THE BASTARD PAY … darn just occurred to me that I have already ki.. failed dismally while trying to save his miserable life oh darn. We then went looking for trouble er I mean the rest of our party. We ended up in a tavern tent with two drunken dwarves one was grumpy never did catch his friends name. Adelyn Zumwald: brought an elf possibly to replace Imhol , this elf claimed to be able to do magic (the chaos tainted must die) he caused a small flame in my hand and some drunken wench started to shriek witch witch needless to say we were taken before a magistrate of some kind where it was proven conclusively that the drunken wench could indeed not hold her drunk and was incorrect in naming me a witch, and this elf does not even have a pet bear I must have a word with Adelyn Zumwald: about picking up strays . All in all an acceptable first day at the Bögenhafen fair. Tonight we will do some shopping I think…
first day at fair as told by Alric Konrad adventurer.

GM’s Summary:
The Weissbruckers, still favourable towards the party, warn them that a road warden patrol is headed for the town, apparently looking for them. Grombil suggests they turn themselves in, but everyone else insists on leaving immediately. After a few days sailing up the Bögen, the Maria is blocked by debris in the river and fired upon by goblin archers, who badly wound Imhol. Further upstream, they find a wrecked barge with signs that its crew and cargo might have been taken into the woods by orcs. Following the trail all day, they eventually reach the orcs’ camp. An effective assault was launched that wiped out the superior number of orcs, but Imhol was killed by an orcish archer in the process. The prisoners and cargo (belonging to House Steinhäger) were rescued and taken to their end destination at Bögenhafen. The party explored the partially set up fair grounds, meeting a dangerously drunken dwarf, who they got out of trouble with the law, and an evasive elf entertainer, who got them into trouble with the law.

As told by Adelyn Zumwald:

Account of the last few days.

The day after Alric and I liberated a religious relic out of the hands of a chaos worshiping demon philanderer (That sight will haunt me till my grave). The group were informed that a townsman came in ranting us about a horde of Orcs approaching. So we decided that we would split the group in half. Half staying in town to insure the boats safety and the other half will go scout out and see if this townsman was telling the truth or just as crazy little man. There was smoke in the distance, not quite the way the townsman pointed us, but it was a good direction to start.

So we went off towards the smoke. After a day’s travel we found this little mining village which was the source of the smoke. After establishing that they knew nothing and were useless, we tried to see if we could see any other signs of Orcs. After seeing movement far in the distance in the hills, after much debated we decided to do the intelligent and not so testosteronie thing and get some rest and set out on the morrow.

We set out set out to intercept the Orcs and get some details of the nasty Orcs numbers. After bumping into what looked like a Orc argument we established that 40 Orcs were heading to the mining village then probably to the town. Alric volunteered to go back to town and inform the village, while Imhol, Grombil and I went to warn and save the mining village. After Many hours of running we made it to the mining village just in time. Goblins riding these horrible beasts were attacking. We took them smelly green goblins down in no time but one managed to escape to warn the hoard. After establishing there were 80 Orcs now not 40. We realised we need to the out of there quick and back to town. On the way back we encountered 7 Orc, rather than running we bravely attacked, taking our foes down with minimal losses. The might Orcs lay dead at our feet. We then high tailed it back to town, where we got a little rest before the mighty battle.

60 Orcs approached the town from 3 different sides. As they approached I let loose the flame of my magnificent plan and engulfed in flame half the orcs approaching the middle. The battle in sued, arrows flying, axes decapitating, swords impaling. The local towns guard were nearly on their knees when our mighty party slayed the leader sending the orcs running. The dwarf then started acting slightly crazy cutting off Orc heads and running around as they dripped blood all over him, but hay we all go to have our fun some time and this must be a dwarf thing.

GM’s Summary:
With news of a large Orc force roaming the area, the party determined to help defend the town of Weissbruck, and so set out to scout out the orcs. After some time roaming the woods in the direction of the Skaag Hills, they reached a small mining outpost and from there were able to spot orcs headed towards the town. After a day of moving to intercept these, they realised the orcs had changed course and were headed instead for the miners. Rushing to rescue them, they arrived exhausted at the mine in time to fight off some wolf-riding goblin scouts, but one of these escaped. Together with the evacuated miners, they rushed back to Weissbruck, encountering a smaller band of orcs along the way. In town, they had a few hours to catch up on sleep before the horde arrived, trying to bash through two of the town’s gates and through the canal. The party split up to join the three groups of town defenders at each location, and successfully cut off the central gate attack. The canal attack was severely weakened, but the second gate attack was more successful, breaking through quickly and killing a number of the defenders. The orcs’ leader, Boss Morbog Throatslitta, joined this part of the attack, but was taken down by the party, whereupon the rest of the orcs fled. Grombil claimed the orc boss’s great axe for himself and the party were hailed as heroes, with a feast the next day. Losses had been roughly equal on both sides.

GM’s Summary:
Looking for work in Weissbruck while the Maria was repaired, Alric and Adelyn take on a job for the local cult of Ranald. They are asked to retrieve a painting called The Apotheosis of Ranald from a local Imperial judge’s home. The two do so, killing the manor’s guards and uncovering the judge having unholy relations with a great disgusting mass of a demon. They kill both, retrieve the painting and burn the building to the ground. Meanwhile Grombil sets to work customizing the new armour Alric and Adelyn gave him in Altdorf, adjusting it for dwarf use.

GM’s Summary:
In Weissbruck, Adelyn goes into town to complete a minor errand for the Altdorf Thieves’ Guild, while everyone else stays on the boat. On route, she notices the man who had killed the people following the party on their last night in Altdorf, dealing with some men in an inn. After the party attempts to spy on him and the dock hands he was dealing with, he eventually flees from them. Later that night, this man (identified after his death as Adolphus Kuftsos) and his men stage a raid on the Maria, and all but one are killed. Kuftsos, trying to sneak up on Alric belowdecks, is killed with a surprisingly sudden and forceful strike from Alric’s blade. On his body is found a letter shedding some light on Kuftsos’s mission. The Maria’s hull was moderately damaged by the attackers’ fire bombs, and had to be repaired over the next day.
