Sham’s the Enemy Within

This campaign series incorporates our earlier Dying of the Light campaign, but is primarily a record of our attempt to complete the massive Enemy Within campaign, with a few personal modifications and possibly eventually also some whole side campaigns (perhaps the Doomstones campaign). The player and player character populations have gradually shifted over time, but slowly enough that this is all clearly still one continuous plot, making it the longest single game I’ve played. And we’re not even half way through it yet.

Due to the great length of the Enemy Within campaign (I don’t expect to finish it before the end of 2013), the plan at the moment is to run each of the separate books that make up the campaign (which I’m calling ‘seasons’) with breaks of some sort in between, either switching to a different game for a while or simply taking a break from roleplaying altogether, depending on player preference at the time. I expect players to come and go during the course of the campaign, so devoted long-termers and brief visitors are equally welcome.

However, due to all of the above factors, good record-keeping will be essential, which is why all players will be strongly, strongly encouraged to contribute here, as well as keeping paper records (and possibly even full character journals, if they want to). ((Predictably, they’ve largely done none of these memory-enhancing things and it’s coming back to bite them.))
